CNC Machinist

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our engineering team in Camperdown for leave cover.

This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to precision manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, supporting our commitment to excellence in engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in machining or engineering
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a contract role
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with quality control processes and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• This position is suited to an experienced, hands-on CNC Machinist who is comfortable working autonomously. The successful candidate will operate a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls, producing primarily prototype and small-batch components to standard machining tolerances across a range of materials.
