Kitting & Dispatch Technician

About the role:

The Shipping & Production Technician supports the end-to-end manufacturing, fulfilment, and delivery process by assisting with assembly orders, kit fulfilment, domestic and international shipping, export documentation, and the accurate dispatch of goods.

This role helps ensure that materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through the production and logistics chain to meet operational priorities, customer delivery requirements, and business continuity needs.

Order Fulfilment & Shipping 

• Process and fulfil customer orders using the fulfilment spreadsheet, ensuring records are accurate and kept up to date.
• Prepare and pack goods for domestic and international dispatch.
• Book and arrange freight for domestic and export shipments.
• Prepare commercial invoices and other required export documentation for international shipments.
• Arrange Certificates of Origin and trade agreement documentation through the Chamber of Commerce where required.
• Coordinate the accurate and timely dispatch of goods in line with customer and operational requirements.

Production & Kit Fulfilment Support

• Prepare kits and materials for assembly in the kit fulfilment area. Notify the Quality and Production Engineer when kits are ready for inspection
• Identify and escalate BOM discrepancies, stock shortages, fulfilment issues, or documentation gaps.

Cover Warehouse/ Goods In when required

• Receive and check incoming goods against purchase orders when required.
• Notify the Production and Quality Engineer when goods require inspection or clearance.
• Accurately locate and store stock items after clearance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through rotating cycle counts.
• Ensure all stock is clearly labelled and stored in the correct location.

Workplace Maintenance & Compliance

• Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas and equipment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, company policies, and SafeGauge guidelines.
• Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the values outlined in SafeGauge’s Code of Conduct.
• Support continuous improvement activities relating to dispatch, fulfilment, stock control, and production administration.

About you:

• Must have worked in a production facility previously or similar, however full on the job training will be provided
• Experience with shipping including exports
• Effective communication skills
• Must be computer literate
• Able to work in a small team environment and share workloads as flexibility is a must, change is a guarantee, and growth is continuous
