Development Team Lead

Remote across Australia $200k - $240k + super People leadership position
The RoleYou'll lead a team of Full Stack Software Engineers responsible for designing and delivering the user-facing and backend systems that power our clients platform.
You'll combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, setting direction across the full technology stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services and integrations. This is a high-impact role working closely with senior engineering leadership, to deliver scalable, secure and reliable SaaS capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet the technical direction and standards for the team, covering both frontend and backendLead the design and build of APIs and backend services that can scaleGuide how the platform is built and run in the cloudRun code and design reviews, and keep quality high through testing and CI/CDKeep an eye on system performance, reliability and security, and drive improvementsManage and mentor the team, including career growth and performance reviewsHandle hiring, onboarding and planning for the team
Skills & ExperienceCloud-based or SaaS environment experience1-2 years in leadership rolesFrontend development experience using modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar)Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Go or similar technologiesExperience designing and building scalable APIs and distributed systemsStrong understanding of OAuth2, JWTs and secure session management
