Ulma Packaging (Australia) Pty Ltd Position Purpose To install, service, maintain, diagnose faults, and repair industrial packaging and filling equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. Key Duties and Responsibilities Install and commission packaging and filling equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on packaging machinery. Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance. Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components.
Fit and adjust machine parts to ensure correct operation. Test equipment after repairs and servicing to confirm performance. Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service documentation.
Maintain accurate service records and report completed work. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Provide technical support and advice to customers where required.
Equipment Serviced Thermoforming machines Flow wrapping machines Tray sealing equipment Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) machines Packaging and filling equipment Skills and Experience Electrical / Electronic Trade Certificate III OR Disconnect-Reconnect Certificate OR Appliance OR Mechanical Trade background OR Comparable experience on electrical/ mechanical equipment 2+ years’ post-trade experience and proven competency in a similar position. Willingness to travel regularly to metro and regional client sites Capacity to effectively service our range of packaging and filling equipment. Exposure to delivering product training for a variety of end users.
Experience with technical documentation and diagrams, comprehending technical problems presented by customers, and providing effective solutions. Well versed in effectively articulating company and product information to our customers. Working with the tools at hand to complete customer quotations.
Proficient in various computer software, including Microsoft Office applications. Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer focus, problem solving, communication, organisational, and task management skills.
