We are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our Geraldton-based team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a Geraldton local who enjoys having a stable home base but is also happy to travel to projects across WA when required. You’ll have the opportunity to work locally in our Geraldton workshop, with occasional site deployments depending on project requirements.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with RDH, you’ll be primarily Geraldton based, working across our diverse fleet with the opportunity to head to site when required.
Your role will include:

• Performing planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on Civil and Mining mobile plant
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults across a diverse fleet
• Working across an expansive range of Heavy Earthmoving Equipment and 300+ RDH-owned assets
• Maintaining equipment to ensure reliability and sustainable operations
• Working both independently and collaboratively across our workshop and project teams
• Travelling to WA project sites as required to support field operations

  
This is not a Perth-based FIFO role. We are looking for someone who is Geraldton based and wants to build a long-term career with a local company, while having the flexibility to work away when projects require it.
  
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

• Experience across Heavy Mobile Plant, Trucks and Trailers
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
• Flexible and adaptable mindset
• Solutions-focused approach
• Professional, safe and timely work practices
• Strong communication skills
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance

  
EDUCATION, LICENCES AND TRAINING

• Australian-recognised Trade Qualification – Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant
• Valid Australian HR Driver’s License
• Construction Induction (White/Blue Card)
• Mobile Plant Technology Trade (highly regarded)
• Air-conditioning license & experience (highly regarded)
