About the RoleAtlin is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Systems Engineers to support a major capability acquisition and technology modernisation program. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will contribute to the delivery of complex systems through the application of systems engineering principles, technical assurance and engineering governance. You will collaborate with project teams, engineering specialists and industry partners to ensure technical solutions are delivered in accordance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements and project objectives.
Responsibilitiesundertake systems engineering activities across the capability lifecycle, from planning through to delivery and acceptance;support engineering planning, technical coordination and project delivery activities;review and assess engineering documentation, technical artefacts and supplier deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements;provide technical assurance and contribute to engineering governance, design reviews and assurance activities;identify, assess and manage technical risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies throughout project delivery;support configuration management, engineering change and technical compliance activities;collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, commercial and project teams to deliver integrated capability outcomes;engage with stakeholders to provide professional engineering advice and technical support;contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen engineering processes and project delivery.
Qualificationsdegree qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Communications, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or a related engineering discipline;
Required Skillsdemonstrated experience applying systems engineering principles within complex engineering or technology programs;experience supporting the delivery of large-scale engineering or capability projects;strong understanding of engineering assurance, technical governance and compliance processes;experience reviewing technical documentation, engineering designs and supplier deliverables;knowledge of configuration management and engineering change management processes;excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills;strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences;experience working within highly regulated industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Aviation or Critical Infrastructure is highly regarded; andprofessional membership with Engineers Australia or an equivalent engineering body is highly desirable.
Security RequirementsApplicants must:hold a current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance;be an Australian Citizen; andbe eligible to access controlled information where required.
Preferred locationCanberra, South Australia, Queensland, or Melbourne. Candidates must be able to work onsite a minimum of three days per week.
