Role Description The Commissioning and Audio Visual Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This role involves installing, configuring, and commissioning audio visual and LED signage systems, including displays, projectors, lighting, and video conferencing equipment. The technician will perform system testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting, ensuring all equipment operates to specification and meets client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with project managers and installers, and documenting system configurations and maintenance activities. The role also requires on-site client support, conducting handover and basic user training, and liaising with service teams to manage repairs and upgrades.
QualificationsStrong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems and LED signage solutions.Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on AV and display equipment.Experience installing and configuring Video Conferencing systems.Practical skills working with Lighting controls and Projectors in AV environments.Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, AV, or a related field.Experience reading wiring diagrams and technical documentation.Comfort working on-site, including at heights and with power tools, following safety procedures.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites within Sydney and surrounding areas.
