Assessor of Nursing Permanent Part Time 17.5 hours per week Base salary $91,590, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading ($103,956 salary package), paid pro-rata.

About the roleAs an Assessor with TAFE NSW, you will independently assess and grade nursing students, with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.Joining a collaborative team of nursing health professionals, you will mentor and guide students through their work placements, supporting them as they gain practical experience in industry health care settings or at the TAFE NSW campus, while assessing their practical skills through simulated activities. Note: This role does not teach or deliver training and travel will be required to conduct workplace assessments
About YouYou are an experienced and approachable nursing professional who is organised, proactive, and committed to high standards. With strong communication skills and confidence using digital technologies, you provide fair and constructive assessment and feedback. You build positive relationships and are passionate about supporting students to develop their skills, achieve competency, and succeed in their nursing careers.To be successful in the role, you will:Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing AND have acute care nursing experience.Have current AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseHave a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.Hold evidence of the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training (VET).Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.To find out more about the role, click to view the Role Description
