Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is the nation’s leading voice on exercise and sports science. We govern and represent over 10,000 university-qualified accredited exercise professionals who support Australians to reach their health and performance goals.

What you will do
We currently have an opportunity for an Appointed Director to join our Board, for a term of up to three years. The Director role is a strategic position within ESSA, responsible for governing the organisation.
What you will bring
We are ideally seeking candidates with prior involvement on a significant not-for-profit board or equivalent experience. Our new Board Director will have extensive experience in one or more of our priority areas:
Applicants must be eligible to be appointed as a Director in Australia in accordance with ASIC and ACNC stipulations. New Directors will be supported to attend the AICD Foundations of Directorship Course to upskill their governance knowledge if required.
What you will commit to
The role is modestly remunerated from an aggregated annual remuneration pool (indexed annually) payable to all ESSA Directors and all related expenses are paid.
