The Role

We're looking for an Event Operations Coordinator to predominantly manage the delivery of Nudo's events at The Trust, one of Melbourne's most iconic event venues in the heart of the CBD.

You'll own the day-to-day venue operations and event delivery at The Trust, ensuring the venue is always presented to Nudo standards, operationally ready for clients and events, and executed to the highest standard. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves events and hospitality and wants to be right in the middle of the action. You'll take events from final preparation through to pack-down, lead the team on the floor and make sure everything happens exactly as it should.

You'll work with a team of great people who care about doing things properly and want to create some of Melbourne's most unforgettable event experiences.

What you'll be doing:

• Run events from set-up through to pack-down, making sure every detail is executed flawlessly

• Brief, coordinate and lead our event teams, setting the standard for service and guest experience

• Be the key operational contact for clients and suppliers on event days, solving problems and making decisions as they arise

• Run wedding rehearsals and make sure clients, suppliers and our team know exactly what's happening before the big day

• Keep The Trust looking its absolute best and ready for events and client inspections

• Manage venue inventory, assets, safety checks and event administration

• Deliver event-day onboarding, coaching and feedback using Nudo's training systems alongside the Operations team. 

• Manage event-day staffing allocations, breaks and floor coverage to ensure labour is allocated effectively throughout service. 

• Work closely with our Planning, Kitchen and Operations teams to make sure events are properly prepared and delivered

• Complete post-event debriefs, incident reports and venue handovers, identifying maintenance, operational or service improvements for future events. 

What we're looking for:

You're an experienced hospitality person who loves being in the middle of the action. You've worked in events, weddings, restaurants, hotels, premium venues or another fast-paced hospitality environment and know what great service looks and feels like.

You're calm under pressure, organised and confident leading a team. You notice the details, think on your feet and take ownership when something needs to get done.

Most importantly, you care about creating incredible experiences. Success in this role is simple: events run seamlessly, clients and guests feel looked after, the team performs at its best and The Trust always looks incredible.

Experience in weddings or events is preferred, but great hospitality experience is just as important.

The Nitty Gritty

• Rate: Base of $32/hour + penalties + super

• Employment: Permanent full-time, paid hourly under the Restaurant Award

• Location: Predominantly The Trust, Melbourne CBD, with occasional work across other Nudo venues

• Hours: This is events, so nights and weekends come with the territory. Flexibility around the event roster is essential

• Licence: Valid Victorian Driver Licence required
