Warehouse Storeperson-Trade Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and practical Warehouse Storeperson-Trade Assistant to join our VIC branch in Sunshine West.

This role is primarily responsible for supporting warehouse, stock, receiving, dispatch and production picking activities to ensure customer orders and manufacturing requirements are completed accurately and on time. The role will also provide secondary Trade Assistant support to manufacturing activities as required, including basic material preparation, component handling, work area support and assembly assistance under direction.

This position will suit someone who is hands-on, organised, safety-focused and comfortable working across warehouse and production support tasks in a manufacturing environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Working closely with the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Receiving, checking, recording and storing incoming goods.
• Picking, checking and staging components for production and sales orders.
• Maintaining accurate stock locations, labelling and warehouse housekeeping.
• Assisting with stock counts, discrepancy checks and inventory adjustments.
• Preparing items for dispatch, including checking, labelling and documentation.
• Coordinating freight, collections and order readiness with internal teams.
• Supporting communication between warehouse, purchasing, sales, production and dispatch.
• Providing secondary Trade Assistant support where required, including material preparation, component handling, work area cleaning and basic assembly support.
• Following safe work procedures and reporting hazards, stock issues, damaged goods or delays promptly.

 About You:

As the successful candidate, you will have:

• Experience in warehousing, stores, logistics, manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment.
• A forklift licence.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• The ability to work safely, follow procedures and communicate clearly with team members.
• Flexibility to assist with secondary Trade Assistant tasks where trained and authorised.
• Knowledge of hose products, fittings or technical manufacturing environments would be highly regarded.
