Field Service Technician - Melbourne

Our client is a market leader in the supply and maintenance of a full range of "End of line" Packaging / Palletising systems throughout Australia. Currently, we are looking for a Service Technician with strong mechanical skills to install, troubleshoot, and service a range of packaging machinery from their Melbourne office and on client sites throughout VIC.

This role is ideal for an Electrician, Mechanic, Fitter or other trade qualified person who is looking to branch out into industrial machinery and automation solutions. Your trade qualification will be highly regarded, as you will be required to obtain a restricted electrical licence to complete your duties. Consequently, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate most or all the following skills and experience

•     A trade background in any discipline.
•     Strong mechanical skills
•     Competency in troubleshooting and repairing the likes of machinery, vehicles or forklifts etc.
•     An affinity with and understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic principles with a willingness to improve your skill set.
•     The ability to gain a Disconnect / Reconnect Electrical licence
•     An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service on site.
•     A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
•     Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to build a strong relationships with clients and has empathy with their needs.
