Blue Knot Foundation
About the role
Join Blue Knot Foundation, Australia's National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma, as our People & Payroll Adviser.
This is an opportunity for an experienced People & Culture professional with strong experience at HR Adviser level or above across the employee lifecycle, together with strong, demonstrated experience managing payroll.
You will bring strong practical knowledge of the SCHADS Award, National Employment Standards (NES) and Australian employment legislation, using this expertise to provide sound advice, guide the organisation on the correct application of employment requirements and mitigate compliance risk, including through payroll.
This is a broad HR advisory role with significant payroll responsibility, reporting into the Head of People & Culture within a small, collaborative team and a purpose-driven national organisation.
Our People & Culture team plays a key role in enabling our people to deliver on our purpose. As a member of our small, high-performing team, you'll manage a number of core compliance functions and provide People & Culture advice whilst coordinating and administering a broad range of people processes across the employee lifecycle alongside other team members.
This is a genuinely hands-on role that combines payroll, advisory, coordination and administration responsibilities. You'll work collaboratively across the team and organisation to deliver accurate, compliant and timely outcomes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll be trusted to manage your delegated responsibilities with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy and legislative compliance while working collaboratively with both the team and broader organisation.
This role will suit an experienced People & Payroll professional looking to continue working at a high level in a three-day-per-week position. You have proven experience managing payroll and People & Culture responsibilities within a small or growing organisation and maintain contemporary working knowledge of the SCHADS Award, National Employment Standards (NES) and Australian employment legislation. You enjoy working in a hands-on role where accuracy, compliance, attention to detail and proactive identification and resolution of risks are essential.
You exercise sound professional judgement, understand your delegated responsibilities and accountabilities, and work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team. You are trusted to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outcomes, while recognising when to consult or escalate matters requiring further consideration or decision-making.
