Location – Parramatta / Hybrid working

Employment type – Fulltime Ongoing

Salary- GR7/8 $116,981 - $129,492 plus superannuation

Your role

 

The NSW Government is determined to make NSW a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring. 

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

The role sits within the Reform Delivery Team and is responsible for the ongoing design and implementation of the Homes NSW Project Management Framework (PMF). Homes NSW has an ambitious reform agenda, and the recent introduction of the PMF helps staff across the organisation consistently plan and deliver projects, that enable Homes NSW to meet its reform commitments. We are a small but mighty team!

 

What you’ll do

 

• Support assurance, compliance and PMF design and implementation activities.
• Lead and coordinate portfolio reporting and insights, governance and project administration activities.
• Maintain project records, registers and governance artefacts that support effective decision making.
• Assist with capability development, onboarding and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of governance, reporting and project management practices.
• Manage team correspondence and information requests across the portfolio.
• Undertake research, evaluation and analysis to identify emerging issues and prepare recommendations to resolve project and/or process issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders across Homes NSW to facilitate exchange of information to support the delivery of projects.
• Undertake secretariat duties for project governance forums, ensuring accurate key decisions and actions are captured to monitor change control, progress planning and delivery.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
• Experience providing project management support services
• Strong MS Excel skills, with experience in data collection, analysis and setting up dashboards.
• Demonstrated understanding of, or experience within, the housing, homelessness or related human services sector, or a comparable policy environment.
• Knowledge of legislation and government processes relevant to Homes NSW or similar public sector environments.
