Are you an HR professional who loves operational generalist work but brings a strong, hands-on focus to Work Health & Safety (WHS) and injury management?

We are partnering with a well-established Non for Profit organisation to recruit a permanent Human Resources Coordinator to join their team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this broad, dynamic role blends end-to-end HR operations with active leadership across workplace safety, return-to-work planning, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
WHS & Injury Management: Coordinate workplace incident reporting, investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Manage early intervention strategies, workers' compensation claims, and Return-to-Work (RTW) planning.Compliance & Training: Track and monitor employee licenses, tickets, and mandatory qualifications. Coordinate WHS, First Aid, and safety training across the workforce.HR Operations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee enquiries, assist with end-to-end recruitment, onboard new starters, support performance/probation management, and draft employment documentation.Systems & Reporting: Maintain accurate HRIS, WHS, and compliance records; assist with internal/external audits; and generate reporting for leadership.Culture & Policy: Support employee wellbeing initiatives, contribute to policy reviews, and assist with broader HR and organizational projects.What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Advisor, or similar broad operational role.Proven WHS & Injury Management experience: Hands-on background with workers' compensation processes, incident investigations, and return-to-work coordination is essential.Compliance Savvy: Solid understanding of WHS legislation, HR administration, modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.Tech & Systems Literate: Prior experience utilizing HRIS, compliance, or incident-management systems.Strong Communicator: Outstanding organization, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the business while handling sensitive information discreetly.Highly Regarded
