About the role
The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury, delivering a wide range of health and community services across the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia. As a growing organisation, SWAMS continues to invest in new facilities, services and major infrastructure projects that support better health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Aboriginal community member to join our team as an Assets Officer in a Permanent Full-Time position based in Bunbury.
Please note, this position is identified under Section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) and is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only.
Working closely with the Assets Coordinator and other Asset Officer’s in this supportive team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our facilities, vehicles, equipment and operational infrastructure are safe, compliant and ready to support service delivery.
This is a diverse and hands-on role that combines both office-based administration and operational work, across our 12 locations throughout the South West and Great Southern regions.
No two days are the same, you could be coordinating procurement and asset records in the office one day, then travelling to a clinic or property the next to inspect facilities, assist with maintenance, support a fit-out project or coordinate contractors and suppliers.
You will also be a key member of the team supporting the exciting SWAMS Health Hub project, assisting with the coordination of assets, facilities, equipment and operational requirements that will help shape the future of healthcare delivery across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Be apart of the new upcoming SWAMS Health Hub project and other organisational growth initiatives.
