About the role

Make a difference behind the scenes at St John of God Subiaco Hospital. With permanent part-time and casual opportunities available, we're looking for motivated and service-oriented individuals to join our Catering Services team as a Ward Host or Catering Services Attendant. As a Ward Host, you will be the friendly face delivering meals and beverages to patients, ensuring excellent service and a positive dining experience. You will work closely with clinical and catering teams, assist with meal delivery and collection, and provide valuable feedback to support continuous improvement.

• Deliver meals and beverages to patients.

• Provide exceptional patient-focused service.

• Collect meal trays and maintain ward standards.

• Support food safety and infection control practices.

As a Catering Services Attendant, you will support food preparation, meal service, kitchen operations and cleaning activities across the Catering Department. You will help maintain high food safety and hygiene standards while ensuring meals are prepared, presented and delivered efficiently.

• Prepare, present and serve meals.

• Maintain kitchen and pantry cleanliness.

• Support food safety and hygiene standards.

• Deliver excellent customer service in a busy environment.

You are a reliable and customer-focused team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in maintaining high standards, and can work collaboratively with a diverse range of people.

Ideally, you will have experience in hospitality, food service, healthcare, catering or customer service environments, along with an understanding of food hygiene and safe work practices.

We can offer you

• Ward host salary: $64,436 to $67,489 (pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation

• Ward  host casual hourly rate: $40.63 to $42.55 (inclusive casual loading) plus 12% superannuation

• Catering Services Attendant salary: $63,180 to $65,435 (pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation

• Catering Services Attendant casual hourly rate: $39.83 to $41.26 (inclusive casual loading) plus 12% superannuation

• Part Time &/Casual position available.
