Credit Repair Specialist

About the role

Play Performance is expanding its finance division and seeking an experienced Credit Repair Specialist to lead the credit-restoration program. This role involves managing the full credit-restoration workflow, helping customers rebuild their credit profiles and move closer to vehicle ownership. You'll work with complex credit files, guide clients through the restoration process with clarity and empathy, and turn complicated credit situations into practical pathways toward financial recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of each client's financial position, repayment history, negative listings, and contributing factors such as savings, serviceability, and stability
• Review credit-provider behaviour against legislation, identifying unfair, disputable, or contestable listings, and prepare structured case files that support removal or correction of black marks
• Draft written correspondence, manage follow-ups, and conduct verbal negotiations with creditors to achieve the highest possible chance of success
• Manage responses from credit providers, coordinate additional information requests, and progress cases toward resolution
• Escalate matters to appropriate bodies and work with regulators and external agencies where required
• Complete final outcomes, coordinate settlements, and prepare clients for the next stage of their finance journey

About you

• Experience in credit repair, hardship support, debt consolidation, or finance broking
• Strong understanding of credit legislation, default-listing requirements, and dispute pathways
• Confidence negotiating with creditors and external bodies
• Ability to analyse complex credit files and identify contestable information
• Professional communication skills and a calm, supportive approach with clients
• High attention to detail and strong case-management discipline
