Position: Automotive Restoration Technician

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Restoration Technician with knowledge and passion for the old vehicles to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

Vehicle Assessment:

• Conduct thorough assessments of projects to determine the extent of restoration required.

• Identify and document mechanical, electrical, and structural issues for each project.

Restoration Planning:

• Collaborate with the restoration team to develop comprehensive restoration plans for the tasks and projects under your care.

• Provide input on the feasibility and timeline of restoration projects.

Repair and Restoration:

• Perform skilled restoration work on various automotive components, including bodywork, engine, transmission, and interior, with a focus on Land Rovers and air-cooled Porsches.

• Utilise a variety of tools and techniques specific to the vehicle to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.

• Uphold industry standards and best practices for automotive restoration in the context of Land Rovers and air-cooled Porsches.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of all restoration activities including photographs, measurements, and materials used.

• Create and update restoration logs for each project.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members, including painters, upholsterers, and mechanics, to achieve seamless integration of restoration efforts for Land Rovers and air-cooled Porsches.

• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Experience is preferential but there is also scope for enthusiastic individuals with little or no experience to join the team with renumeration packages subject to ability.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical and technical skills are preferred, with expertise in Land Rover and Porsche systems being beneficial although not 100% necessary.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work for Land Rovers and air-cooled Porsches.

• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques associated with old cars is desirable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. It is imperative that you are able to work with other team members as this is a multi-layered and collaborative environment and requires all members to work harmoniously to complete the projects properly.

Communication:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to explain restoration processes and progress for the projects to both clients and team members.
