Baker or Pastry Chef | Full Time

About the role

We are looking for a qualified baker/pastry cook to join the growing team at our Sutton Forest store. Heatherbrae's Pies is an independent family-owned business that for more than 25 years has been delighting customers with multi-award-winning gourmet pies, traditional Australian cakes and sweet pastries. Our bakery teams take pride in producing premium quality foods using the freshest and best quality meats, vegetables, flour and dairy products.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quality products following recipes and yield guidelines according to set standards

• Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety and hygiene

• Ensure procedures, policies and high standards are carefully adhered to at all times

• Communicate in a respectful and professional manner

• Work at least one weekend day

About you

• Trade qualifications or industry experience in a fast-paced retail bakery

• Respectful and mature approach to working in a team environment

• Ability to work unsupervised when required

• Flexible and adaptive hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop your skills
