Since 2017, this organisation has expanded its disability services to become a core focus of operations. As a registered NDIS provider, they deliver a wide range of tailored supports with a strong emphasis on positive behaviour support. Their team includes experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists who are committed to helping individuals, families and support networks achieve greater wellbeing, stability and independence. Central to their practice is the belief in empowering people with disabilities to go beyond diagnosing problems, resolving barriers and restoring dignity.
For more than a decade, this organisation has been recognised for providing high quality, clinically informed services. They take a proactive and responsive approach, working closely with families, professionals and community supports to ensure individuals receive the highest standard of care. They are now looking to add an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to their dynamic team in Toowoomba and surrounding areas to help deliver the high standard of care they are known for.
About the Role and your Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, reporting to the Managing Directors, you will support clients by developing and delivering high quality, evidence based behaviour support. You will collaborate with families, support teams and other professionals to ensure holistic care and improved quality of life. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Developing, implementing and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support PlansManaging complex cases and coordinating supportsProviding best practice therapeutic supports tailored to individual needsDelivering training and guidance to clients, families and care teamsPreparing reports, letters, clinical notes and documentationMaintaining accurate records and meeting compliance requirementsDelivering workshops or contributing to blog content as requiredParticipating in professional development and team activitiesNetworking and promoting the organisation with referral partners
Skills and Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Education or a related fieldRegistration or eligibility for registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support PractitionerKnowledge of the NDIS, disability sector and Disability Services StandardsStrong interpersonal skills within a clinical or health contextAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisation and time managementStrong problem solving skillsAble to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyWilling to learn, grow and seek guidance when neededConfident working independently and as part of a teamRespectful when working with people from diverse backgroundsCurrent Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtainCurrent driver’s licenceFull working rights in Australia
