Branch Operations Co-Ordinator

Southern Stars Air Conditioning & Electrical is a Queensland-owned and operated business with a strong reputation across air conditioning, electrical, and solar.

With multiple locations, a growing team, and a brand-new North Brisbane office currently under construction, we're entering an exciting new stage of growth. We're looking for an experienced Branch Operations Coordinator to join our team and play an important role in helping us take the next step.

As our new office comes online and the business continues to grow, this role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the business and develop into a broader operational leadership position.

About the role

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of the action, solving problems, keeping people organised and making sure the day runs smoothly. You will work closely with the management team, administration staff, technicians, installers and customers to coordinate the daily operations of the North Brisbane branch. The role is varied, fast-paced and offers the opportunity to make a real difference.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the North Brisbane branch

• Supporting scheduling and ensuring field teams are working efficiently

• Monitoring daily and upcoming jobs and identifying potential issues before they become problems

• Coordinating labour, materials and resources to keep jobs moving

• Supporting technicians and installers with day-to-day operational requirements

• Liaising with customers regarding job requirements, scheduling and operational matters

• Following up outstanding jobs, paperwork and information

• Working with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when required

• Identifying and escalating quality, safety and operational issues

• Ensuring ServiceM8 and other systems are kept accurate and up to date

About you

• Previous experience in operations, scheduling, construction administration, trade coordination or a similar role

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with tradespeople, customers and management

• The ability to remain calm and solution-focused when things don't go to plan

• Strong attention to detail

• Good computer and systems skills

• Experience with ServiceM8 or similar systems would be highly regarded

• The ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment

• A proactive attitude — you see a problem and work towards a solution rather than waiting for someone else to fix it

• The ability to work independently while being part of a wider team
