Trade Assistant – Hydraulics Department

About The Role
As part of our Hydraulics Department, you’ll work closely with experienced tradespeople on a variety of tasks, including forklift operation, sandblasting, painting, equipment preparation, and light mechanical work. This is a fast‑paced, high‑performing workshop where safety, quality, and teamwork come first.

Roster:
5 days on / 2 days off2 weeks dayshift / 2 weeks nightshift10 hour shifts plus 30 minute unpaid meal break

What You’ll Do
Safely move components using a forkliftSandblast hydraulic componentsPaint and shrink‑wrap parts to quality standardsAssist with maintenance and minor repairs of the sandblast unitClean, prepare, and operate moving componentsWork independently with strong attention to detailPromote and contribute to a strong safety culture

What You Bring
Previous experience as a Trade AssistantForklift licence (essential or willingness to obtain)Dogging certification (highly regarded)A positive attitude and strong work ethicGreat communication and the ability to work well in a teamExperience using safety and risk assessment tools (e.g., JSAs, Take 5s)
