Supported Independent Living Support Worker

This is an opportunity to join a stable permanent part-time roster supporting participants across Supported Indendent Living (SIL) and Respite (STA). You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents; supporting them in living the life they choose.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Using a person-centred approach support residents' personal care and wellbeing as required, with dignity and respect. This may include Physical assistance with the following:  

- Assistance with all areas of personal care including feeding, toileting, bathing and grooming  

-Transfer/hoisting between toilet, wheelchair, motor vehicle, bed etc.  

-Assistance to participate in activities  

-Transporting clients   

-Assisting participants with meal planning, preparation and cooking   

-Domestic assistance   

-Support residents' safety and rights at all times.  

-Respond to clients needs including behavioural support and emergencies  

• Complete notes documentation and incident reporting. 

• Administer medication in line with procedures and training provided.  

• Support clients with their nighttime and morning routines.  

• Perform household and domestic duties within the SIL home as required and as per directed cleaning schedules.  

• Support life skills development and community participation activities for residents.  

What We Are Looking For  

• Current National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check  

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate  

• Experience supporting people with disability, ideally in a SIL or overnight setting  

• Sound understanding of person-centred practice and positive behaviour support  

• Ability to work independently and respond calmly under pressure  

• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle  

• Ability to work overnight shifts (at least 2 per week & including weekends)  

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
