Graduate Law Clerk / junior lawyer

About the role

You will work on a broad range of matters including family law matters, including property settlement matters; estate planning, including drafting wills, enduring powers of attorney, and testamentary trusts; estate administration, including probate and administration matters; and general legal matters as required. You will have the opportunity to manage your own matters appropriate to your level of experience while receiving ongoing mentoring and supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Work on family law matters, including property settlement matters

• Work on estate planning, including drafting wills, enduring powers of attorney, and testamentary trusts

• Work on estate administration, including probate and administration matters

• Handle general legal matters as required

• Manage your own matters appropriate to your level of experience

• Receive ongoing mentoring and supervision

About you

• Admission as a Solicitor in Queensland or eligibility for admission

• A genuine interest in family law, property settlements, and succession law

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• A proactive approach to learning and professional development

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Approximately 1 year post-admission experience (PAE) will be highly regarded but is not essential for the right candidate
