Queen Elizabeth Centre
About the role
About us
Formed in 1917, The Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) is Victoria’s largest provider of Residential, Community and Home-based early parenting services for families with children from birth to four years of age.
With our Residential Early Parenting Centre in Noble Park and Community home-based services across Victoria, we play a special role in providing parenting education and support to thousands of families every year to give their children the best start in life. Our programs are research-informed and tailored to meet the unique needs of each family and enable families to nurture, protect and enhance their children’s, safety, health and development.
We are very proud to have been rated within the Victorian Public Sector as being one of the five best performing health services in the state for workplace culture, rated by our employees in 2023. We have a supportive, inclusive team culture with a strong connection to our core purpose to enable children to thrive, so QEC really is a truly rewarding and fulfilling place to work.
The role
QEC is growing, with our new Early Parenting Centre Baabak Hastings opening last year as well as the successful go live of our new client information management system (Family Navigator). The Business Intelligence Analyst role is integral to ensuring QEC meets its statutory reporting requirements, leverages the rich data available in Family Navigator to drive service outcomes and performance improvements, and continues to develop a strong data culture for a strong future.
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting data to support evidence-based decision making across QEC and to meet QEC’s statutory reporting obligations. The two major responsibilities of the role are: provision of internal data visualisations using Microsoft Power Bi and related tools such as Microsoft Fabric; and validation and submission of QEC’s statutory reporting (including VAED, VINAH and IRIS). This role proactively engages with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into insightful analytical models, reports and dashboards that support the organisations key strategic and operational objectives. The Business Intelligence Analyst is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making across QEC.
This permanent role is offered as part-time or 0.6FTE (22.8 hours per week) and is based at Noble Park.
