HR/MR TRUCK DRIVER/LABOURER

About the role

Terika Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated HR/MR Truck Driver/Labourer to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a full-time position that combines professional driving responsibilities with general labour duties to complete a manual unload of plasterboard on site. In this role, you will operate medium to heavy vehicles, transport plasterboard and associated products safely and efficiently, and provide support with loading, unloading and other operational tasks. This position is integral to our logistics operations and directly contributes to the reliable delivery of services to our clients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HR and MR class vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and report any maintenance issues

• Transport goods and materials to designated locations within scheduled timeframes

• Load and unload plasterboard safely, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution

• Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation including delivery records, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance logs

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, delays or any issues that arise

• Perform general labouring duties as required, including site preparation and material handling of manual unload of house lot of plasterboard on site

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour when representing Terika Pty Ltd to customers

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Valid HR and/or MR class driving licence (essential)

• Current and valid medical clearance appropriate for driving commercial vehicles

• Demonstrated experience in truck driving and/or road transport roles

• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport compliance requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly, with good physical fitness

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Strong communication abilities and a professional attitude towards customer service

• Willingness to work varied hours, including early starts and potentially weekends as required

• A clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices

• Previous experience in logistics, construction materials transport or general labour is highly desirable
