Part-Time Kitchen Hand / Cook (Prep & Pasta)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, efficient part-time kitchen hand and cook to join our team. You will focus on afternoon sauce and ingredient prep, as well as managing the pasta station during our dinner services.

Key responsibilities

• Chop fresh vegetables, portion ingredients, and prepare traditional sauces (Bolognese, Carbonara, Napolitana, etc.) to recipe specifications.
• Cook and plate hot pasta orders efficiently during high-volume dinner trades (17:00–21:00).
• Keep food prep areas, cooking stations, and equipment clean, organized, and sanitary throughout service.
• Follow NSW food handling standards, rotate stock (FIFO), and ensure proper food storage.

About you

• 1+ years of commercial kitchen experience (pasta station or pizza prep experience preferred).
• Highly organised individual is a must.
• Strong knife skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Valid Food Safety Supervisor or basic Food Handler certification is a plus.
• Punctual, dependable, and available to work evening shifts and weekends.
