The Role

Loading outbound packed fruit carefully onto trucks that are safely prepared for trips is the primary responsibility of the Yardperson. 

This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, is organised, reliable and has a good work ethic. 

The role can be tailored to a full-time or part-time permanent position.

It is primarily a yard-based role, keeping truck loading operations running smoothly day-to-day, however we are looking for someone flexible who is happy to pitch in wherever needed, including occasional trips to Melbourne or Sydney. 

In this role you will:

·         Load & unload inbound & outbound goods (using a forklift);

·         Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions;

·         Ensure the yard & equipment is maintained and kept tidy and safe;

·         Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas;

·         Ensure documentation, labelling, palletisation and presentation are done correctly;

·         Use computer software for picking, receiving, put-away and load functions.

·         Assist in timely departure of trucks;

·         Transportation of fruit within Victoria

·         Ensuring load is securely restrained and covered to prevent damage

·         Maintaining and completing pre-start safety checks on the vehicle

·         Preparing and completing log book requirements, loading and delivery documentation. 

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

·         Valid HC or MC Truck Licence with B double experience

·         Forklift license

·         A strong work ethic

·         Proven ability to work as part of a team and autonomously without supervision

·         Excellent communication skills

Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
