Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic – HDD, Civil Plant & Fleet (Local Perth Role)

Dizza Group is a family‑run civil construction company delivering a mix of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and general civil works across WA. We’re looking for a capable Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our HDD equipment, civil plant, and wider company fleet.

This role suits someone Perth‑based who wants a local, stable role and to be home most nights, while still working on technically interesting machinery. It will also suit experienced tradespeople transitioning from FIFO, shutdowns, or site‑based roles into a better‑balanced position.

About the Role

You’ll be involved in a mix of specialised and general maintenance work:

• Servicing, diagnostics and repairs on HDD rigs and supporting equipment

• Maintaining civil plant and systems including mud pumps, vacuum units, trailers and tooling

• General servicing and maintenance of light vehicles, utes, trucks and fleet assets

• Responding to breakdowns in the workshop and on local or regional sites

• Contributing to preventative maintenance and fleet reliability

This Role Could Suit You If You Have Experience With:

• Diesel fit-out, maintenance or field service (civil, mining, utilities, transport or FIFO)

• Hydraulic‑heavy machinery or complex plant

• Trenchless, drilling, piling, earthmoving, mining or heavy construction equipment

• Fleet maintenance across LV, trucks, trailers and plant

• Coming off FIFO or shutdown work and wanting better work/life balance

👉 Direct HDD experience is a strong advantage, but not essential — training and support will be provided for the right candidate with solid diesel fundamentals.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven diesel fitter or diesel mechanic experience

• Strong fault‑finding and practical problem‑solving skills

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

• Willingness to attend site when needed

• HR licence, forklift or VOCs an advantage

Pay, Roster & Flexibility

• $50–$60 flat rate per hour, depending on experience and agreed roster

• Take‑home company vehicle and necessary tooling provided

• Weekly pay

• Primarily a local Perth role

• Roster options available (standard, rotating or block) — not fixed and discussed upfront
