Lube Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Fixed Plant Lube Service Technician to join our maintenance team at a Tier 1 Iron Ore Processing Operation in the Pilbara.

This role is responsible for the inspection, servicing, lubrication, and condition monitoring of critical fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal reliability and performance across the processing plant.

Working closely with maintenance and reliability teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in preventative maintenance programs and lubrication management systems across conveyors, crushers, screens, stackers, reclaimers, and other fixed plant assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled lubrication servicing and inspections of fixed plant equipment.

• Carry out oil sampling, grease application, and lubrication system checks.

• Monitor equipment condition and report abnormal wear, leaks, or contamination issues.

• Maintain accurate lubrication records and servicing documentation.

• Support the implementation of preventative maintenance and reliability programs.

• Inspect and maintain automatic lubrication systems and lubrication points.

• Work safely in accordance with site safety systems, permits and procedures.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve plant reliability and equipment life.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate II in Servicing (or equivalent qualification) – essential.

• Current HR Driver’s Licence.

• Experience working as a Lubrication Technician / Lube Service Technician in mining or heavy industry.

• Knowledge of fixed plant equipment lubrication requirements.

• Experience with oil sampling and contamination control practices.

• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and hazard awareness.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote FIFO mining environment.

• Good communication and reporting skills.

Additional Desirable Experience

• Experience working on iron ore processing plants.

• Familiarity with CMMS maintenance systems (SAP, etc.).

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.

• Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Testing certifications.
