Join the Bundaberg Sugar, Mill Maintenance Team

As one of Australia’s largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant in East Bundy. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg, Queensland.

We are looking for skilled Fitter and Turner and Boilermaker tradespeople to join our proactive maintenance team. If you have a strong background in manufacturing or the sugar industry and are capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment, we want to hear from you.

About the Roles

These roles are primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of the role, shift work may be required.

• Boilermaker – Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural metal products, boilers, and pressure vessels. This includes cutting, bending, welding, measuring, and interpreting engineering drawings to meet specifications. Experience in piping fabrication is essential.
• Fitter & Turner – Maintain and repair mill plant equipment, carry out advanced fitting tasks (including welding and hydraulics), and record all work in the Computerised Maintenance Management System. Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, and repair maintenance is essential.
