Articore Group
About the role
Description
Articore runs Redbubble, TeePublic, Dashery, and Frankly Wearing, several of the largest creator marketplaces in the world. As a Software Engineer here, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems that power both marketplaces, working closely with your engineering manager, tech lead, and product partners to ship work that matters across your domain.
This role sits in the PLC (Purchase Lifecycle) team, which owns what happens after checkout across Redbubble and TeePublic - order allocation, payment processing, and the fulfilment integrations that turn a completed order into a shipped product. The team works primarily in Ruby on Rails and carries a heavier maintenance and tech-debt remit than most teams given the criticality of the systems it owns. Day-to-day, the team collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Data, and Product, and is currently central to the OMAFS effort consolidating order management across both marketplaces.
Core Responsibilities
Feature development and platform integration: Design, code, test, and deploy software across the team's systems. Lead small to medium-sized initiatives that solve complex problems at scale, in line with Articore’s Engineering Principles and architecture standards.BAU maintenance and system health: Maintain and uplift existing services, manage tech debt responsibly, and ensure systems are well monitored with up-to-date documentation, under the guidance of the Tech Lead.Delivery collaboration and technical leadership: Participate in discussions on technical approach and feasibility, collaborate with team leads on discovery and scoping, translate business requirements into technical spikes and deliverables, and participate in team ceremonies including standups, planning, retrospectives, and showcases.Coaching and people development: Coach and support less experienced engineers in technical development, good engineering practices, and Articore values.Innovation and roadmap input: Learn new tools, techniques, and technologies to shape opportunities for the business, and provide input into the team's technology roadmap to enable sustainable delivery against company objectives.
