As our service continues to grow across Newcastle and the Hunter region, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. Whether you're looking for a contractor arrangement, part-time flexibility, or a full-time position, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding and varied caseload while making a genuine difference in the lives of children, adults, and older Australians.
We offer a diverse caseload with opportunities to work across a range of service areas, including:
Paediatric Occupational Therapy
NDIS-funded assessments and therapeutic interventions
Functional Capacity Assessments
Assistive Technology and Home Modification recommendations
Aged Care and Disability Support Services
Community-based rehabilitation
Workplace rehabilitation services (optional)
You'll have the flexibility to shape your caseload around your interests, experience, and availability while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services across a range of client groups
Support NDIS participants to achieve meaningful goals and improve participation in everyday life
Complete assessments, reports, and recommendations for funding and support needs
Provide functional and capacity-building interventions across home, school, workplace, and community settings
Collaborate with families, support coordinators, carers, educators, health professionals, and stakeholders
Identify and recommend assistive technology and environmental modifications
Contribute to positive client outcomes through person-centred and goal-focused practice
We're looking for someone who:
Is an Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration
Has experience working with paediatric clients and/or NDIS participants
Demonstrates strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report writing skills
Enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients, families, and referral partners
Is organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Holds a current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Has, or is willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
