About the role

We are seeking experienced D6 and Posi-Track Machine Operators to join our team on a casual basis in within the Bowen Basin, QLD. This is an opportunity to work in the mining and resources sector, operating machinery and equipment as part of our Tailings Capping Project operations. This job opportunity is currently project works, with potentially 2 years of work left in this current contract. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project delivery, ensuring that all equipment is operated safely and efficiently to meet project timelines and quality standards. This casual position offers a 7 on 7 off roster, accommodation, food, company shirts and transport from camp to site.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialist machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety protocols

• Prepare equipment before operation, conducting pre-start checks and reporting any defects or maintenance issues

• Ensure all operations comply with site safety requirements, environmental regulations and company procedures

• Monitor equipment performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to optimise productivity

• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, fuel consumption and any incidents or maintenance requirements

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and site management regarding operational status and any issues

• Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance and storage at the end of each shift

• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, site conduct and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Experience operating heavy machinery or specialist equipment, preferably in the mining, resources, construction or quarrying sectors

• Valid driver's licence

• Dozer and Skid Steer RII

• Standard 11

• Coal Board Medical (CBM)

• An understanding of safety protocols and willing to maintaining a safe work environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work on a 7 on 7 off basis, including potential extended or varied shifts as required by project schedules

• Experience in the mining and resources sector is highly desirable but will consider all applicants
