Registered Nurse | QEII Jubilee Hospital, Brisbane South | Permanent or Temporary Part-time (48–76 hours per fortnight) — Join our busy Emergency Department and deliver compassionate, person-centred care while building your skills and experience within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Talent Pool

This Expression of Interest (EOI) collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future temporary employment opportunites. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the expression of intetrest pool for a period of twelve (12) months, and you may be contracted further by Metro South Health (MSH) at the time an opportunity arises matching your qualifications/experience. MSH may request your particpation in other recuitment selection processes (eg: interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further determine suitability for appointment to a specific position.Submission of an EOI is not a guarantee that you will be offered employment with MSHBy submitting an EOI, you will not automatically be considered for advertised vacancies. If you wish to be considered for a specific advertised vacancy at MSH, please submit your application for the relevant vacancy via the Smart Jobs.The EOI process is just one avenue of seeking employment with MSH, and your application will remain current for 12 months.

Working as part of our Emergency Department team, you will:

Deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care across a diverse range of presentations.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using strong clinical judgement and critical thinking.Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to achieve the best patient outcomes.Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and a culture of continuous learning.Support colleagues through teamwork, mentoring and clinical leadership.

About you:

We're Looking For a Registered Nurse Who Brings

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and a relevant tertiary nursing qualification.Emergency nursing knowledge, skills and experience, with a commitment to developing your practice.Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and time-management skills.Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills.A commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and quality improvement.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
