About Us

Located close to the Rosebud foreshore on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, The Pier Café is a vibrant and growing venue with a strong community spirit. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a focus on fresh meals, great coffee, and friendly service. As we expand and elevate the café experience, we’re looking for an energetic Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team.

The Role

Whether you bring years of barista experience or a passion for coffee and customer service, we value team players who take pride in delivering great coffee and creating a welcoming, positive experience for every guest. You’ll be involved in all aspects of café operations and become an essential part of our team.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft exceptional coffee with speed and precision

• Creating a welcoming and engaging experience for every customer

• Greeting, seating, taking orders, and serving food and drinks

• Clearing tables and keeping the dining space clean and well-presented

• Handling customer payments accurately using POS system

• Perform café setup and close-down procedures

• Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times

• Work collaboratively with front and back of house teams

What You Bring:

• At least 6 months of barista experience in a fast-paced café

• Passionate about coffee and customer service

• Friendly, reliable, punctual and well-presented

• Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work in a team

• Comfortable with EFTPOS/POS systems and food handling basics

• Available to work weekdays and weekends
