G&H Civil Contractors delivers technically challenging civil and geotechnical projects across South East Queensland, Canberra and NSW. Our expertise includes D&C basement retention, piling, dewatering, ground improvement, bulk excavation and associated civil works.
 
As our projects continue to grow in size and complexity, we're looking for an experienced Project Administrator to become an integral part of our project delivery team.
 
Why This Role Exists
Our Project Engineers create the greatest value when they're planning ahead, coordinating future works and solving problems before they occur. In reality, however, much of their day can be consumed by administration.
 
The purpose of this role is to reduce that administrative burden.
By proactively coordinating project administration, maintaining key systems and driving follow-up, you'll free our engineers to focus on planning, coordination and project delivery. We often describe it as reducing the noise so our engineers can focus on the signal.
 
This is far more than an administration role, you'll become a key member of the project team.
 
About the Role
This is a full-time, site-based position supporting one or more projects across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
You'll work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and Project Managers, taking ownership of project administration and ensuring tasks are completed proactively rather than reactively.
 
What You'll Be Doing

• Welcoming and onboarding new workers, subcontractors and plant.
• Maintaining project registers, document control and quality records.
• Preparing supporting documentation for progress claims and variations.
• Coordinating meetings, minutes and action registers.
• Raising purchase orders, obtaining quotations and processing invoices.
• Assisting with procurement, travel and project logistics.
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the project office.
• Following up outstanding actions to keep projects moving.

You don't wait to be asked—you anticipate what's needed, follow tasks through to completion and enjoy supporting a busy project team.
 
Essential

• Experience as a Project Administrator, Site Administrator or similar role in Australian civil construction.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word).
• Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work across multiple project sites.

Desirable

• Experience with ERP, safety or quality management systems.
• Exposure to contract administration, progress claims and variations.
• Understanding of construction drawings and project documentation.
