About the role
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Transport Engineer (Program Manager) to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of transport infrastructure projects that support safer, more sustainable and connected communities.
This role is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of transport engineering programs and projects, including cycling infrastructure, pedestrianisation initiatives, road safety improvements and major capital works. Combining advanced technical expertise with strong program and project management accountability, the position oversees multiple complex projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working across the full project lifecycle, the role plays a key part in program planning, financial management, budget reporting and project governance, while balancing the needs of a broad range of road users, stakeholders and community members. The position provides expert advice on transport engineering, parking and road safety matters, leads stakeholder engagement activities and contributes to the successful delivery of wider capital works programs.
Why join Team Melbourne?
Located on the traditional lands of the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, Melbourne is globally recognised as one of the most liveable, diverse, and dynamic cities.
