Casual Guest Services / Reception Team Member

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and capable Casual Guest Services / Reception Team Member to join our Front Desk team at Ashmore Palms Holiday Village.

This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys dealing with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service and can confidently juggle a variety of tasks in a busy holiday village environment.

Our Guest Services team is the first point of contact for many of our guests, tenants and visitors, so a warm, professional and helpful approach is essential.

The role includes:

·         Welcoming guests, visitors and tenants and providing friendly, professional service

·         Managing guest check-ins and check-outs

·         Processing bookings, cancellations, deposits and payments

·         Answering telephone calls and responding to guest enquiries

·         Assisting guests with information about our accommodation, facilities and local area

·         Investigating and resolving guest queries and concerns

·         Assisting with the Village Shop, including sales and restocking

·         Recording and following up maintenance and housekeeping requirements

·         Assisting with guest activities, promotions and events

·         Conducting accommodation and public-area inspections

·         Assisting with tenant-related enquiries and inspections

·         Reconciling payments and completing general administrative duties

·         Assisting other departments when required

·         Responding appropriately to emergency situations and incidents

The role involves regular movement around the property and occasional outdoor work, so this position will suit someone who enjoys a role that is varied and active rather than being desk-based all day.

About you

·         Experience in PMS (Newbook preferred)

·         Has a genuine customer service focus

·         Is friendly, professional and well presented

·         Has excellent communication skills

·         Is organised and pays attention to detail

·         Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team

·         Has a positive “can do” attitude

·         Is proactive and willing to help wherever required

·         Can remain calm and professional when dealing with guest issues

·         Is comfortable using computers and undertaking administrative tasks

·         Takes responsibility for their work and follows through on commitments

·         Understands the importance of guest privacy, safety and security

Previous experience in guest services, accommodation, hospitality, reception or a similar customer-facing role will be highly regarded.

A current Queensland Driver Licence is required.
