Group Leader - Maintenance

As a Group Leader, you'll play a critical leadership role in delivering maintenance programs that keep our roads, public assets and community spaces safe, functional and looking their best.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced civil maintenance professional who enjoys leading crews, driving high-quality outcomes and making a visible difference in the community every day.

This is a full-time permanent position.

About the Roles 

Working closely with the Team Leader, you'll coordinate day-to-day operations, support team performance and ensure maintenance programs are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will:

• Lead, mentor and support a team of maintenance employees in the delivery of civil maintenance works
• Respond to customer requests and help deliver excellent community outcomes
• Support emergency response activities during storm, flooding and severe weather events
• Monitor team performance and contribute to the achievement of service delivery targets
• Ensure plant, equipment and resources are used effectively and maintained appropriately

About You

You're a hands-on leader with a genuine can-do attitude, who leads by example and thrives on getting things done. You will have civil construction experience and leadership qualities to mentor and develop the skills of the team members you lead.  You build strong relationships, communicate effectively and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to every challenge.

Passionate about delivering great outcomes for the community, you inspire and develop others through coaching and support, foster a positive team culture, and embrace opportunities to improve the way work is done. Adaptable, customer-focused and committed to excellence, you're someone who motivates people and drives results.

What you’ll bring:

• Civil contruction experience
• Leadership experience
• Certificate III or IV qualification in Civil Construction or similar
• MR Truck licence
• Work Zone Traffic Management License
• Construction Industry White Card
• Certificate III or IV in Leadership Management is desirable
• Forklift Licence is desirable

This position is classified at GL1 with a current salary of $96,608 per annum plus superannuation.
