About the role
Lourdes Hill College educates young women to embrace life and a passionate love of learning in a nurturing, inclusive and innovative Catholic learning community. We equip each person to reach their potential and boldly embody Benedictine values, listening actively with the ‘ear of the heart’. Our overarching vision is to be universally recognised for empowering generations of young women to be a transforming Benedictine presence in our world.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Lourdes Hill College is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychologist to join our Student Wellbeing team on a contract basis, providing maternity leave cover working 3 days per week.
This is an opportunity for an experienced psychologist with at least three years’ experience working with children and young people to make a genuine difference in the lives of students within a supportive and values-driven school community.
As a key member of our College Counselling team, you will provide professional psychological support to students, responding to their individual needs and contributing to their social, emotional and psychological wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers and other professionals to support positive outcomes and create an environment where every young person feels safe, supported and empowered to flourish.
We are looking for a psychologist who brings:
Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and relevant professional qualifications.
At least three years’ experience working with children and young people, ideally in a school, education or youth-focused setting.
Strong counselling and psychological assessment skills, with the ability to respond confidently to a diverse range of student needs.
A warm, approachable and student-centred practice.
The ability to build trusted relationships with young people, families and staff.
A collaborative approach and a commitment to working within a multidisciplinary wellbeing team.
A strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, safeguarding and the wellbeing of children and young people.
Why join Lourdes Hill College?
