Our clients are in the pharmacy, retail and healthcare sectors, with ongoing growth into other sectors.

Our team of experienced professionals are dedicated to delivering personalised solutions that enable our clients to achieve their goals.

This role will be supported by our internal accounting/finance team, which consists of several experienced accountants and business advisors.

We have two office locations in Adelaide at Norwood (East) and Welland (West).

About the role

Healthy Business Group is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our growing team on a part-time or casual basis at our Welland office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly payroll accurately and on time

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure payroll data is kept up to date

• Apply relevant awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts and workplace policies

• Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant Australian employment and taxation requirements

• Prepare payroll reports and provide information to management as required

• Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll enquiries

• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll information

• Assist with payroll audits, reporting and year-end processes
  

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a payroll position, preferably processing payroll independently

• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and requirements

• Experience interpreting and applying modern awards and employment conditions

• Strong understanding of leave entitlements and payroll calculations

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• A high level of integrity and confidentiality.

• Strong computer skills and experience using payroll and accounting systems.

• A willingness to learn and develop their skill set

Desirable

• Experience with MicrOpay is preferred

• Payroll qualification or relevant accounting/finance qualification.

• Experience processing payroll for multiple entities, locations or businesses.

• Experience working across multiple modern awards.

• Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting.

• Experience with payroll tax and other statutory reporting requirements.

• Experience with STP, PAYG and superannuation
