About the role

We are seeking a Data Entry & Store Assistant to join our team on a casual basis at our Rockingham WA 6168 location. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an enjoyable retail environment whilst developing your administrative and customer service skills. As a Data Entry & Store Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our store operations, managing inventory systems, and providing support to both our team and customers. This role offers flexibility and variety, combining data entry responsibilities with hands-on store duties to ensure our business runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately inputting and processing data into our store management systems and databases

• Maintaining inventory records and conducting stock checks to ensure accuracy

• Assisting with product labelling, pricing, and shelf organisation

• Processing customer transactions and operating the point-of-sale system

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service, answering telephones

• Receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking items against purchase orders

• Maintaining a clean and organised store environment, following health and safety standards

• Supporting the wider store team with administrative tasks as required

• Assisting with promotional activities and merchandising displays

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Competence with computer systems and familiarity with retail point-of-sale software (desirable but not essential)

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• A customer-focused approach and willingness to provide quality service

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility for casual shift requirements

• Prior retail or administrative experience (desirable)

• A genuine interest in outdoor activities and camping or fishing (advantageous)
