The Role As QA Officer, you are responsible for ensuring that all products and services consistently meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This involves performing tests, identifying defects, documentation, and assisting in process improvements.
Your Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct routine quality assurance inspections and testing of materials, components to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and ISO 9001 quality requirements Develop and implement quality control plans (QCP) and inspection test plans (ITP) for mechanical systems, welding, and assembly operations
Maintain, review, and update quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and, in some cases, product specifications Monitor and ensure product quality throughout the production process, following ISO 9001 and industry-specific standards Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and prepare reports on non-conforming materials or processes
Prepare detailed quality documentation including test reports, inspection records, and final dossiers for client handover Collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement of products Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and used according to protocols
Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements in all QA-related activities Coordinate third-party inspections and liaise with suppliers to verify conformance of mechanical parts and supplied materials, ensuring they meet company standards
Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports. To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Previous work experience in quality assurance or a similar field.
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance. Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
