Branch Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to join the NQAS team at our Ayr location. This is a full-time position based in Ayr, QLD 4807, where you will take the helm of our branch operations and drive business success in the retail and consumer products sector. As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, managing daily operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service whilst achieving financial targets and strategic objectives. This is a key leadership role that will have a direct impact on the branch's profitability and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all branch operations including stock management, merchandising, and point-of-sale systems to ensure smooth daily functioning

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of staff members, providing training, coaching and performance management to drive engagement and productivity

• Set and monitor sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing strategies to achieve and exceed business objectives

• Manage branch budgets and financial performance, controlling costs and maximising profitability

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant retail regulations and health and safety standards

• Deliver exceptional customer service standards and create a positive shopping experience that builds loyalty and repeat business

• Conduct regular stock audits and manage inventory levels to minimise shrinkage and maintain product availability

• Identify opportunities for business growth and improvement, liaising with head office and implementing strategic initiatives

• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally

• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the branch is presented to the highest standard

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Branch Manager or similar senior retail management role in a fast-paced retail environment

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

• Solid understanding of retail operations, stock control, and point-of-sale systems

• Excellent financial acumen with experience in budget management and achieving financial targets

• Outstanding customer service ethos and a track record of building customer relationships

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions whilst maintaining alignment with company strategy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels

• Proficiency with retail management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Ideally, experience within the retail and consumer products sector would be advantageous
