As the Nurse Team Leader for the Withdrawal Unit, you will guide a dedicated nursing team through some of the most meaningful and transformative moments in a person's recovery journey. This role is for someone who leads with heart, steadiness and clinical confidence, creating a safe, calm and supportive environment for participants navigating withdrawal.
You will work closely with the Bridge House Leadership team to shape a service grounded in dignity, evidence-based practice and genuine human connection. Every shift offers the chance to make a real difference, and your leadership will help ensure each participant feels seen, supported and respected.
This permanent full-time position is based at the Bridge House Withdrawal Unit in Perth and reports to the WA State Manager, AOD.
How you will make an impactProvide clinical and operational oversight that ensures participants receive safe, holistic and person led careLead and nurture the nursing team, creating a culture of confidence, compassion and continuous growthMonitor key service indicators and participant feedback to strengthen the quality of careCoordinate nursing rosters and collaborate with the Bridge House Leadership Team to maintain seamless coverageWork closely with medical practitioners and nurse practitioners to ensure coordinated screening and interventionBuild strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance participant outcomesOffer expert nursing advice to the WA AOD Leadership Team, escalating matters where neededChampion inclusive, culturally appropriate and trauma informed practice
What you will bringCurrent AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseMinimum 2 years' experience as a Senior Registered Nurse (or equivalent)Experience in AOD withdrawal managementConfidence supervising staff and supporting performanceStrong organisational skills and the resilience to lead a dynamic serviceExperience in clinical service developmentUnderstanding of neurodiversity in an AOD contextExcellent written and verbal communicationCommitment to participant led service deliveryFormal AOD and/or mental health qualifications are highly regardedCurrent WA Driver's Licence
