What you’ll be doing

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment with some of the worlds most advanced machinery.
• Attend to breakdowns and safely restore production in an efficient manner
• Identify and report plant, equipment and safety issues and contribute to corrective actions
• Support fabrication and modification of equipment where required
• Maintain workshop, tools and equipment in a clean, tidy and safe condition
• Ensure all maintenance work areas are free of foreign objects prior to handover
• Complete maintenance records, registers and associated documentation
• Work in accordance with site safety, food safety and operational procedures

What you’ll bring

• Trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical / Fabrication / Machining preferred)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment
• Strong mechanical fitting skills including conveyors, bearings, chains and sprockets
• Competency in MIG, TIG and arc welding; gas and plasma cutting
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Ability to read drawings and safely fault‑find equipment
• Experience using lathes and milling machines
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team‑based environment
• A proactive, safety‑first mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
