About the team
The Wellbeing and Social Policy team is a collaborative and purpose-driven team that leads strategic work across community wellbeing and social policy priorities. The team brings people together across Council and with external partners to develop policy and strategy, deliver meaningful projects, engage with stakeholders and prepare clear advice, reports and briefings. With a focus on wellbeing, safety, inclusion and emerging social policy issues, the team helps turn ideas and commitments into practical actions that support positive outcomes for the Glen Eira community.
About the role
In this newly established position, you will lead the delivery of Council’s social cohesion priorities, driving strategic initiatives from planning through to implementation and evaluation.
The role has a strong focus on developing the Glen Eira Social Cohesion Strategy, leading delivery of the Glen Eira Antisemitism Strategy 2026–2028 Action Plan, and fostering a coordinated, whole-of-Council approach to social cohesion.

Passionate about building inclusive and connected communities, you bring sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex issues into practical actions and positive outcomes.
