About the Roles:

Civil Plumbers & Labourers:

You will be working as part of our civil construction crews delivering watermain and associated infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Installation of water mains, pipework, valves, hydrants and fittings

• Water main connections, cut-ins and tie-ins

• Excavation, trench preparation, bedding, pipe laying and backfilling

• Assisting with pressure testing, flushing, chlorination and commissioning

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications

• Working safely around existing underground and overhead services

• Using hand tools, power tools, lasers and civil construction equipment

• General civil construction and labouring duties

• Working alongside plant operators, supervisors and other trades

• Completing works safely and in accordance with project specifications, SWMS and quality requirements

Plant Operators

Plant Operators will work closely with our civil crews to safely and efficiently complete excavation, trenching, backfilling and general earthworks.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Operating excavators, skid steers, loaders and other civil construction plant

• Excavating and preparing trenches for water main installation

• Trimming, bedding, backfilling and compacting around installed services

• Loading, moving and stockpiling construction materials

• Working safely around existing underground and overhead services

• Performing detailed excavation around live services

• Completing daily plant inspections and pre-start checks

• Identifying and reporting plant defects and maintenance requirements

• Assisting with general civil construction activities when required

• Working closely with Supervisors, Plumbers and Labourers

• Operating plant safely and in accordance with SWMS, site requirements and manufacturer guidelines

About You:

We are looking for people who are hardworking, safety-focused and team orientated.

Applicants must have:

• Construction Industry White Card

• Current Australian C Class Driver Licence

• Relevant plumbing licence/qualifications for Civil Plumber positions

• Relevant plant tickets/competencies for Plant Operator positions

• Relevant tickets and qualifications for the position

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work effectively as part of a civil construction crew

Highly Regarded:

• Previous water main construction experience

• Civil plumbing and underground services experience

• Excavator, skid steer and loader experience

• Detailed excavation experience around live services

• Experience with lasers, levels and reading construction plans

• Previous experience on civil infrastructure projects

• Additional plant or machinery tickets

• Experience working around existing and live services
